Whiskylander works with W. D O'Connell in Ireland. This Irish independent bottling pioneer bottles amazing whiskeys and specializes in limited edition batches.

Single pot still

The whiskey comes from a single distillery and is made in a pot still with crushed malt and unmalted barley. A classic Irish style is worth trying!

WD O'Connell PX Series – 19 years

This 19-year-old single malt was distilled in Cooley and matured for 17 years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks before undergoing a second 30-month maturation in an ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry cask.

Bottled at 46%, unchill-filtered and uncoloured, this is a rich, full-bodied Irish whiskey that exemplifies the continued progression of the limited run of Pedro Ximénez-influenced single malt Irish whiskeys.

Single grain

Whiskey is distilled from one grain or several grains from the same distillery. Here at Whiskylander we love grain whiskey and we buy good examples when we can.

Single grain whiskeys include whole grains or cereals other than malted barley - such as corn or wheat - and must be distilled at a single distillery.

4 - WD O'Connell - 10 years - €69.95

WD O'Connell - 10 years

The WD O'Connell Bourbon & Rye series is part of a small list of exceptional grain Irish whiskeys.

This whiskey's journey began at the Cooley Distillery, where it was distilled and matured for at least 10 years. WD O'Connell has handpicked the components of the rye cask to provide an added characteristic - the spiciness of a rye whisky. It complements the notes of vanilla, caramel and honey that one expects from an ex-bourbon cask grain whisky.

Good tasting, and happy St Patrick's Day 🍀
