Tasting Notes

Nose : Medicinal note, pencil lead, peat smoke, smoked fish, a hint of waxed leather, a smell of new cars, burning briar twigs.

Taste : Initially sweet with a spicy peppery, bubbly with a salty saltiness, medicinal (again Germolene), kelp on the shore, charred wood, salty shells, peaty.

Diluted nose : The peat and smoke are largely reduced, quite vinous (tomato leaves), salty shore, charred sticks, creamy with a slight hint of Germolene, smoked haddock poached in milk.

Diluted Taste : Sweeter, with coal tar soap, sherbet - but much less fizzy than pure, burnt twigs, Germolene, Muscovado sugar, salty smoked haddock in a rich Cullen Skink.
