Aromas - A beautiful combination of marine flora and fauna encapsulated in a halo of peat smoke and charred oak. The sweet cereal notes of malted barley appear slowly, like walking beside a barley field in mid-August. Then, notes of green apple and pear emerge to lead to a bouquet of primrose, buttercup and lily by the river!
Palate - It is rich and viscous due to filtration without refrigeration and, although very powerful, this Islay gem takes a different path. A more fruity and smoky cereal road with bouquets of heather in bloom under a westerly breeze. A hint of mild spiciness from bourbon residue joins travelers on their Islay odyssey. The balance between alcohol fruitiness, oak and smoke is pure magic in a glass.
This is Islay on a summer evening. Slow distillation, passion and craftsmanship, ancient oak and a team of dedicated islanders, committed by their DNA passed down from their ancestors.
